Main Page: What is Direct School Admission (DSA)?
DSA-Sec allows P6 students to apply to some secondary schools before taking the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).
At Woodgrove Secondary School, DSA is available for students who have a talent in the following areas:
1. Community Youth Leadership
2. Science for Sustainable Development
Selection Criteria
Criteria for DSA in Talent Area 1: Community and Youth Leadership
Applicants should:
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities in the Prefectorial Board, CCA, Class or equivalent student organisation.
Have organised or participated in a service learning or community service related project within or outside the school.
Have good conduct
Criteria for DSA in Talent Area 2: Science for Sustainable Development
Applicants should:
Demonstrate strong interest and talent in the area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Have passion for sustainable living and conservation of the environment.
Participated in relevant opportunities (e.g. sustainability-themed competitions, recycling/upcycling campaigns) in CCA or interest groups within or outside school.
Have good conduct.
**Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.

How many DSA can I apply for? | Applicants can apply up to three choices (maximum of two choices for the same school under two different talent areas). |

Selection Process & Outcomes
Selection process
The selection process takes place from 29 June to 28 August 2026.
The school will invite all shortlisted applicants to attend a compulsory selection interview. The details of the Selection interview will be communicated via email.
Community Youth Leadership
Group Interview
Candidates will be engaged in a discussion and participate in a group activity.
Candidates will be assessed based on the following criteria:
1) Leadership
2) Communication skills,
3) Collaboration skills
4) Critical Thinking Skills
5) Commitment to Community Service.
Science for Sustainable Development
Candidates will share their experiences related to Science for Sustainable Living such as:
1) The various activities they have been involved in.
2) their role in the activities.
3) What they have learnt.
Optional to bring: Portfolio
The portfolio should include pictures of work done, including artefacts (if any).
Applicants should demonstrate relevant aptitude and potential during the Selection interview process.
DSA Outcomes
All applicants will receive their application outcomes between 17 and 28 Aug 2026.
School Preference Submission: 19-23 October 2026
Students who receive at least one DSA-Sec offer will receive an email and SMS notification via Postman.gov.sg (opens in new tab) on the School Preference Submission.
Both parents are required to login to the DSA-Sec Portal using their Singpass to submit up to three school preferences. If parent(s) are unable to submit online, they can approach their child’s primary school for assistance to submit the school preferences on their behalf.
DSA-Sec offers not taken up will be considered as lapsed at the end of the School Preference Submission period.
Allocation Results Release: November 2026
Students studying in MOE mainstream schools will receive their DSA-Sec results together with their PSLE results by end-Nov 2026. Students who are not studying in MOE mainstream schools will receive their DSA-Sec results via email.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are required to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent area they are selected for from year 1 to 4.
